Thu, 11/08/2012 - 22:04 — Admin1Wow!! What an amazing fundraising event. We raised $25,222 in donations from 211 different people. Thank you to everyone that participated. We far exceeded the $14,020 that we raised last year. We certainly would have liked to win the top prize of $12,500 for our small nonprofit category but we were overtaken at the end by only $143. It was definitely down to the wire. We will still get a $5,000 prize for second place. So with our $5,000 prize we raised $30,222 for MN Sheltie Rescue. Still a very good result. We are so very grateful for your continued dedication that allows us to help Shelties in need.
We really needed this boost to help with the vet costs we have encountered over the past year, its been busy & costly. Visit us on Facebook to hear more about some of the special needs dogs we have been able to help this year, like Pooh & Jake, due to the generosity of our donors.
Thanks again to everyone that participated. It was an amazing show of support.

MNSR at the MN Scottish Fair

Come out for a fun day filled with Celtic music, Highland dance, Heavy games, Pipe bands, sheep herding, Scottish foods and brews. Have fun while learning more about Scottish heritage. The International Family of Bruce is once-again sponsoring MNSR at this wonderful event. There are activities for all ages, however your own Sheltie will need to stay at home. Don't worry though; there will be several Shelties there to help spread the word about this charming Scottish breed.
