Age: 3 years (BD 4/15/2023)

Size: 20 lbs.

Temperament: Rebel is a sweet and loving boy. He is a happy little teddy bear who loves to cuddle and curl up in your lap to sleep. He is a little shadow buddy, following his foster mom all over the house and yard in case she needs help or supervision. Initially, he can be a bit shy with new people and dogs, but not for long. Rebel seems afraid of younger men (teens/20s) and would like a home without exposure to them. He is more comfortable with women, and men past their 20s.

Dogs: Rebel is in a foster home with two other dogs and loves to play. He also gets along with neighbor dogs who come to visit although he may be a little shy when first meeting another dog or new people.

Children: Rebel is in need of a quiet home with adults. Noise and activity scare him. Rebel seems afraid of younger men (teens/20s) and would like a home without exposure to them. He is more comfortable with women, and men past their 20s.

Cats: Unknown.

Crate: Rebel is crate trained. He is crated at night and will go into his crate on his own to relax or nap at other times. He is crated when left at home as he is very adept at tipping waste baskets and knocking down gates. Trash cans and other unsafe items should be kept out of reach.

Car Rides: Rebel rides well in the car and is crated for safety.

Activity Level: Medium. Rebel loves to play with other dogs and humans. He happily follows his foster mom all over the house and yard, and adjusts his activity level to match whatever is going on - he is active, but content to settle down when things are quiet.

Health: Rebel has no known health issues and is up to date with vaccines.

Barking: Average for a Sheltie. He barks and dances when his foster mom is fixing his meals, when he is let out of his crate in the morning, and when his foster mom comes home. He will also join in with his foster sister dogs when they bark.

Leash: Rebel walks on a leash and loves to explore the neighborhood, although he can use a little more practice with positive reinforcement to reduce pulling.
