Ivy

Ivy found her forever home at 12 years of age with a wonderful family who understood that love has no age limit. She enjoyed neighborhood walks, looking out the window, napping on the sofa, pillow, blanket, rug or any available article of clothing that she helped  herself to, and bossing her Sheltie brother Toby. We had to say goodbye to Ivy this week. She is very much missed, but we are so glad to have had her these past couple years.

930 Shelties Helped

From inception in 2003, Minnesota Sheltie Rescue has been helping shelties find their best and last home. We took in 23 shelties that first year. In 2007 we had our most incoming dogs at 84! In recent years we haven’t had as many each year, but have had many more seniors and special needs (health and/or behavior) dogs, so the work continues. Shelties helped by MNSR, inception to date is 930.

Medical Care - Midge

Hello! I’m the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but you may call me Midge. I spent the first 9 years of my life in a puppy mill, which didn’t allow me the opportunity to fully express my marvelousness. That all changed when Minnesota Sheltie Rescue took me in: I was given some much needed veterinary care by Vet Center on Main and Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital including spay surgery, mammary tumor removal, a dental with extractions, pain assessments, radiographs, joint taps and more totaling over $2900!.
