9 year old Bonnie's story

When I came to MNSR after my mom passed away, your donation helped me with the senior vet care I needed. Longtime MNSR supporters wanted an older dog and chose me – YES! Will you make that possible for more older Shelties? I'm treated like the princess I’m meant to be. I like to show off my spins, twirls, and sprints when it’s time to get a little snack.

Bonnie's vet costs: $736.49 for diagnostics, exam, blood work, dental, microchip.

11 year old Loki's story

I was in ruff shape due to untreated Cushing's when I came to MNSR. Additional tests revealed that I also have exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Diagnostics, treatments and monthly medications for my continued care are costly but look at me now! I feel great and am dearly loved by my foster family who take fantastic care of me! Your donation right NOW is MATCHED to help foster Shelties with critical health needs live a happy, comfortable life full of love! Woof, love, thanks!

Loki's veterinary costs in 2019 alone: $865.59

Benson

Benson found a wonderful mom who was dedicated to helping him to regain his health. At his healthier weight, Benson loved to go for walks to meet his adoring public. He was a celebrity - people would ask to have their picture taken with him - and he especially enjoyed greeting little kids. He liked to play with his squeaky toys, and his favorites were the vegetables and farm animals, so his mom affectionately called him Farmer Ben. Benson and his mom completed several levels of obedience and therapy dog training and he earned his Canine Good Citizen certification.

Jagger

We are deeply saddened that our foster Sheltie Jagger gained his angel wings on November 7th, 2019. Jagger came to MNSR at age 11 with an untreated hip injury, and was able to have surgery thanks to generous donors. His quality of life improved, though he had additional issues due to the patellas in his rear knees and spondylosis of the spine. His foster family loved him as their own, and we are grateful for the love and care they gave him to keep him comfortable.
