Bodie

With deep sadness, we share with you that our dear foster boy Bodie has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Bodie came to us via Northwoods Humane Society in March 2017 and due to diagnosis of kidney disease, he became a forever foster. Bodie gained his angel wings on July 3rd, in the loving arms of his foster mom. Though he had been alone for a while prior to coming into rescue, Bodie left this world feeling very loved. Our thoughts are with Bodie's foster moms who took such loving care of him.

Suzy

Our beautiful Suzy passed away on June 13th, 2018.  She came into our lives in September of 2009.  Our beloved Clark had died and we were devastated.  Jean made a perfect match by bringing Suzy to our home that Sunday afternoon and we will forever be grateful.  Suzy took charge and never stopped.  A couple of weeks later Oliver joined our family and Suzy made sure he understood exactly who was boss! She was the most loyal friend we could have had. She was stubborn and beautiful and smart, and constant and we all miss her terribly.  Our family was very in sync with the 4 of us.

Molly

Molly found a very loving family who helped her to learn to trust and gain confidence in herself. It took a lot of time, patience, and consistency in their approach to help her come out of her shell. Molly grew to be a happy girl who loved to play outside and swim in the lake with her Yellow Lab brother. She would herd him back as he swam towards shore. She loved her little human siblings and would jump in their beds to lick their face to wake them up.

The Shelties Say Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who attended our 2018 Spring Event. We hope you had a fun time!

Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this happen: greeters and check-in table, food servers and kitchen helpers, silent auction, merchandise and games helpers, set up and take down workers and also to the vendors who were able to attend our rescheduled event.

After expenses we raised about $4,600 to help our foster Shelties, which is awesome!
