Lucky

Lucky has made it official with his forever family! He loves playing with MNSR Sheltie siblings Scout & Ruby. Scout is his best friend. If Scout chases Ruby, Lucky is in on the chase. If Scout raids the counter, Lucky is right there to clean the floor. Older MNSR Sheltie sister Mindy is not into silly games, but Lucky keeps trying to get her involved.

One of Lucky’s favorite moments of the day is breakfast (followed closely by supper.) Mom provides both, making her quite possibly the greatest person on earth. Lucky barks out instructions and mom follows Lucky’s orders. You wouldn’t think “put the bowl on the ground” would be that hard, but it’s a daily struggle with her. Lucky has bonded with his human brother, who agrees to the multiple belly rubs that are part of the nighttime routine before Lucky goes to bed—humans are so easy to train. Human sister is “the giver of baths”, which results in Lucky going into the classic frozen kung fu kick pose. It looks ferocious, but often ends in a cuddle (and a bath). Lucky came into the house with a belief that large human males are not to be trusted. He and dad have reached an understanding where they can share the couch as long as there is a cushion between them. The cushion rule is thrown out the window if there are popcorn or fries in the vicinity.

Lucky looks forward to a lifetime of playing and long walks, and he is hopeful that very soon mom will figure out where the bowl goes on her own! Adopted 9/13/20.
