Jagger

We are deeply saddened that our foster Sheltie Jagger gained his angel wings on November 7th, 2019. Jagger came to MNSR at age 11 with an untreated hip injury, and was able to have surgery thanks to generous donors. His quality of life improved, though he had additional issues due to the patellas in his rear knees and spondylosis of the spine. His foster family loved him as their own, and we are grateful for the love and care they gave him to keep him comfortable.

Zoey

Our beloved dog, Zoey, died today. 11 years, 9 months old. The absolute heart of our 5 dog pack. Our three-legged wonder of a dog who "arfed" instead of barked. Who put her herding heritage to work by trying to herd the other dogs, or to grab your pants when you were leaving the house to try and make you stay. Our dog with a sense of humor. A total character! Zoey left the loving arms of her earthly family on November 6th, 2019 to the waiting arms of her mom in heaven.

Lucky

Lucky found his forever family with 3 human siblings who he helped to raise, and a Sheltie sister. While he decided agility was not his thing, he was very kind and funny, and the most tolerant dog they had ever known. Sweet, kind Lucky joined his Sheltie sister Brae at the rainbow bridge on October 13, 2019. He enjoyed a breakfast of watermelon and whipped cream after a slumby with his favorite girl and a walk in the yard with dad. Lucky loved the snow and the early October flurries that fell yesterday were for him. We will miss this guy.
