Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR alumni who found their forever families and are now waiting for us at the Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

Jenna was adopted by the most wonderful family who were committed to her physical and emotional well-being. She grew up with her human siblings, and found a best friend in her older Sheltie sister Molly. They played daily and were always together. Jenna taught us patience and was so full of joy. We are so happy she was part of our lives for so long and proud to be her forever home.

Nelly came into rescue in 2007, right around her first birthday, and was so happy when her foster family invited her to stay permanently. She loved playing tug and wrestling with her MNSR Sheltie brother Flynn, doing squirrel patrol, and sampling veggies from the garden. She was the nicest, sweetest senior girl. Nelly crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 11th, 2022.

13 years ago, Kenna was adopted by our dear volunteers, Jerry and Laurel. When we sadly lost Jerry in 2010, and Laurel in 2021, little Kenna was welcomed by their loving grandchildren, and she felt very safe and loved with them. She liked keeping tabs on her brother, going for walks, and her cuteness brought great amusement. Kenna was a sweet, gentle girl who was loaded with personality. Every day with her was a blessing.

We lost the best dog in the world over this last year. We loved her beyond all measure and can’t imagine how there could ever be a dog as good as she was. She tried so hard to do what we wanted and to be at our sides. I miss my Sheltie shadow. Thank you for 10 years of canine bliss.
