Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR alumni who found their forever families and are now waiting for us at the Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

Emmy came into rescue as part of a breeding closure. Her life made a complete 180 when she was adopted by our trusted transport volunteer, and from that time, Emmy was dearly loved and very well-cared for. She shared her home with two other MNSR Shelties, Sweetie, and Emmy's buddy Cody. Emmy was reunited with Sweetie at the Rainbow Bridge in April 2017 at the age of 15. She is so very missed by her mom.

Jackson came to MNSR with an untreated leg injury so severe that his leg could not be saved. It seemed Jackson had not been treated kindly by someone in his past. In spite of this, Jackson clearly wanted to bond with someone, and he quickly learned to navigate on three legs. He found the most loving family who adored him. They helped him to trust that people would only be gentle with him from then on. Jackson became a wonderful big brother to two rescue Sheltie girls later in life, and he relished his role. Jackson crossed the Rainbow Bridge in April, 2017, reuniting with his dad who loved him so.
