Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR foster and adopted Shelties who are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

Shadow came to me on May 15, 2011 almost 10 pounds overweight.  Every day Shadow and I would go for walks at least 3 times a day, sometimes more.  Whenever I grabbed his leash he would jump and jump and jump with excitement!  On every walk he absolutely had to take a ball or a toy with him.  At some point during the walk, he would get tired of holding it in his mouth and drop it on the ground and then dad would carry it the rest of the way.  After he got down to his ideal weight, I thought we could tone down the number of walks but Shadow insisted on them!  He was the most loyal, loving companion I could ever ask for and he will be SO deeply missed.  Shadow crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on November 18, 2017.

Sig

Sig's foster mom fell in love with him and welcomed him to become a part of the family permanently. He loved going for walks, and hanging out with his sister, Rosa. Sig's mom always got a wonderful welcome home greeting as he ran in circles while barking. Sig gained his angel wings on November 10th, 2017 and is missed so much by his loving family.

Sweet Suzy was all smiles when she found her forever family! Her new Sheltie sister, Sissy, quickly became her best friend. Suzy loved going for walks, rolling in snow, watching for squirrels and blowing leaves, and doing yoga with mom in the morning. After Sissy crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Suzy assumed the role of big sister to MNSR Sheltie Wally. "We bid farewell to our beloved Suzy Dog, our beautiful, sweet, joyful, quirky, funny, spirited, Sheltie girl, November 8th, 2017. Less than a month ago she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer. We want to thank the Minnesota Sheltie Rescue for bringing her into our lives 10 1/2 years ago. We cherished every day with Suzy, and we will miss her forever."

Chester was so happy when he found his best human friend through MNSR! As the "one & only", Chester was showered with love and attention, and his favorite adventures were yearly trips up north to Grand Marais with his dad in the summer, and playtime in the snow in the winter. Chester's dad was so proud of his boy, they were perfect for each other. Chester crossed the Rainbow Bridge on November 5th, 2017 and is very, very missed by his loving dad.
